The Palmer Summit is a six-bedroom home at Massanutten Four Seasons Resort in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, hosted by Laura and Michael. Guests watch the ski slopes from the front deck, a 3-minute drive from the lifts, and unwind out back on a private deck with a hot tub, a sauna and a fire table. Inside are a home theater, a game room and a dining room that seats 16.
Bring the people who matter most and spend the weekend together. Start slow with coffee in the bright kitchen, watch a movie in the theater after a day on the slopes, and end the night in the sauna and hot tub. Everyone gets a real bed in one of six bedrooms, in a house we fully renovated in 2025.
Reconnect with nature. Recharge in luxury.
Step out the front door to a straight view of Massanutten's ski slopes. In winter, watch the runs light up at night from your own railing. In summer, grill dinner and eat outside.

Eat dinner on the front deck with the ridgeline in view in every season, just steps from the dining room and kitchen.
Come back from the mountain and get together on the front deck, with Massanutten's ski slopes right in front of you. Fire up the four-burner grill, pull up a chair in one of the two seating areas and take in the ridgeline. The dining room and kitchen are a few steps inside.

Unwind on the rear deck under the lights, with the fire table glowing, deep outdoor seating, the sauna and the hot tub all a few steps apart.
Head out back to more than 800 square feet of deck under the forest canopy. Soak in the hot tub, warm up in the cedar barrel sauna, then settle around the propane fire table as the cafe lights come on. Play Connect 4, super-sized Jenga or JMU-themed cornhole, with dining and lounge seating close by.

Relax in the bright, open living room, steps from both decks and the theater and game room downstairs, with the fireplace on, mountain views through the windows and a record playing.
Pass through the bright living room on your way to everything, since it opens to the front deck, the kitchen, the dining room and the rear deck. Settle in by the propane fireplace, catch a game on the 65-inch smart TV, or put a classic album on the Crosley record player.

Sit down together at the dining table for 16, with big windows on the mountains and doors out to both decks, so the meal can move outside on a warm evening.
